Hampton Beach

A great escape to the coast in the summer time or any time of year is Hampton Beach. Sure most of the activities are available from memorial day - labor day but Hampton beach is also a good walking/biking area during the non peak times of the season too. You can park your car at the park down by the bridge that crosses into Seabrook NH or along any of the metered parking spaces. You can then ride your bike up Hampton beach through North Beach which is about 4 miles or so. Or you can continue north to Rye or even as far as Portsmouth but that's quite a bike ride.
Anyway its all fun. Round out the day with a meal on route 286 at the Seabrook Brown's Lobster Pound. Great Clam Shack!!!!! Also you can get some pretty cheap weekly hotel rates at Hampton with the downtown right there or a short walk away and the beach across the street. You can find deals for like $400-500 for a room per week even in summer. Check out the prices of the hotels online.

Some events you should not miss at Hampton are the Seafood Festival and the Sand Sculpting contest.
